The Licensed Medical Aesthetician is responsible for analyzing clientsxe2x80x99 skin types, determining and performing needed procedures to enhance and/or improve facial skin. Confers with clients to determine desired outcomes and executes treatment plans accordingly. This individual will work in our Fort Lauderdale, FL location with Premier Dermatology / Total Vein & Skin. Schedule: This is a part-time position (20-25 per week). Compensation: $20 – $25 x hr based on what duty is being performed. Ex). While performing services on a client, the Aesthetician will earn $25 x hr. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation. Performs aesthetic treatments (facials, peels, microdermabrasion, etc.) along with advanced medical aesthetics. Educates aesthetic patients on options for skin improvement. Contacts patients to follow-up on treatments and promotional offers, new treatments, events, and other services offered by practice. Maintains and updates patient treatments, contact, and follow-up information in patient management system. Tracks, maintains, and orders supplies. Performs clinical duties such as: PDT Blue Light, Excimer Laser, NBUVB Phototherapy, Coolscultping and Peels. Performs clerical duties such as initiating prior authorizations, notifying patients of treatment approvals and financial responsibilities and scheduling patients. Regular and reliable attendance. Perform other duties as assigned. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Customer Focus: Position primarily serves external customers. Scope of Responsibility: Customer Experience KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required. Education: High School diploma or equivalent Experience: 1-2 year of experience in a dermatology or spa environment (experience with Diamond Glow, dermaplanning, peels, facials, etc..); previous experience in Medical Assisting a plus!
